I want her to get the best gaming experience from her video games.

If she's going to be sitting around in a group playing games, then the Nintendo Wii is going to be a fun choice. The way it's set up with the motion sensing controller leads to some comical, yet fun game playing experiences.
If you want a large library of games along with a top notch online multiplayer experience, then you need to get her an Xbox 360.
The PS3 is not a terrible choice, but it's quite expensive. You can pretty much buy an Xbox 360 AND a Wii for the price of a PS3. To it's credit though, it does have a built in Blue-Ray DVD player, which is normally going for about $1000 on the market.
The Xbox 360 is my personal favorite, followed closely by the Wii...but that's just me :-)

I, personally, would suggest the Wii, even if the other two were dirt cheap. The Wii is soooo different and much more fun. I've had mine for around 2 weeks and have invited many gamers over to play it, who have all loved it.
I also have always been a fan of the "family-friendly" games. Shoot-em-ups really aren't my style, so the Wii games available are just fine with me.

Best gaming experience is PS3. But if you cannot afford that, the Wii would be good.

Teenage girls are social creatures, see what her friends are playing.
For the moment, the PlayStation 2 is probably the most social console.
As for the Wii, the PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360.
The Xbox series seems to aimed toward adult males who are into hobbies.
The PlayStation series seems to aimed toward the general public.
The Wii seems to aimed toward groups playing together.

If you are rich then you can get her all three. but if not then the WII or the xbox.
Right now it is so hard to find these items, the hardest would be the PS2

I was facing the same dilemma, but for my son. I went with the wii because after reading about it, I want to play it myself!! (bad mom)
