I felt my first at about the same time as you and it was just like a flutter in my stomach. Then she would drag her leg down my belly and later you could actually feel her foot poking out as she did it.

Congratulations!!! 16-20 weeks is when you usually feel the baby move. For the next couple of weeks, it will just be flutters and within a month or so it will turn into light kicks and thumps, then a months or so later it will be hard karate kicks, then rolling and eventually...hiccups will be a daily pleasure as well!! Enjoy this time...it will be a good 2 months or so before anyone else can feel it move from the outside.
Good luck and Congratulations!

I felt my son move for the first time at 20 weeks, but some people feel it earlier-like around 16 weeks. It does feel like a flutter. It can kind of feel like a little gas bubble rumbling in your belly. You will be able to feel the movements getting stronger and stronger as your baby gets bigger. Enjoy these precious moments! They are so exciting!
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

How exciting! Yes, it feels like flutters or I call it a gas bubble feeling. You are around the exact time that I felt my baby for the first time. I actually felt a kick around week 23, but every woman is different.

With my son I felt him at 19 weeks, but didn't realize what it was until a few days later. It was a couple more weeks before I actually felt kicking, and then he was EXTREMELY active. With my daughter I felt her at 12-13 weeks and the next week it felt like I was going to have a foot sticking out of my belly button. At my 12 week ultra sound she was kicking up a storm.

It varies from person to person, but it sounds like you are right on track. It usually falls between 16-22 weeks for first time mothers. Sooner for skinny people or those who have already had a baby. And yes, it sounds like that was the baby moving. As he/she gets bigger, it will become more definite and others will be able to feel it too.

Hi,
I was about 13 weeks when I felt my son, it feels like a little flutter, something you cant quite put your finger on.
You are supposed to feel it sooner with your second but im only 8 weeks at moment
