I've finished my first draft of my novel, and now I'm revising it. I'm feeling a little drained but I'm still working at it.

Anyone want to tell me a funny joke or story to keep me going? Or anything inspirational?

first off, congrats on finishing the first draft. That's a great accomplishment. Take the time to enjoy yourself, now the fun starts, as you go through your edits (at least for me) that's where you discover the novel you want to see, don't be afraid to rework anything, make it stronger, better yet, as much as you might want to dive in and start the edits, take a few days to step back and when you come back to the draft, you will be able to look at what you put down on paper in a fresh light.

Ok, a friend of mine was letting his cousin stay in his house. While he was visiting my home, his cousin ate all of his chunky clam chouder and left in it's place one can of 39 cent chili called Cattle Drive Chili. The cousin had left before my friend had gotten home. That made my friend very mad, but since then, that can of chili has passed from one person in our group of friends countless times as a joke. I cannot hear the words cattle drive now without laughing. Hope this helps, I'm in the same boat!

Wow, you've gotten way further than most inspiring authors, so take your well earned rest, and then get back into it when your energy returns.
