I remember when Elvis became a star. He appeared on Ed Sullivan several times and was introduced as a "true gentlemen" by Ed.
Elvis was a victim of his own stardom. He took pills to go to sleep and pills to wake up. He was pushed and pulled all over the place.
He served in the army just at the beginning height of his career. He was a first class guy and very generous.
He was King then and he's King now. Long live the king and his fabulous voice.

Was it Nixon that gave Elvis the badge and made him an honorary FBI agent? Anyways, if "E" was alive today , he would bust "Man" for sure.

even though many people have many different opinions about him, he in fact was one of the few founding fathers of rock n roll, he set the world up for some of its amazing music today, and in my opinion, i think he is an amazing man

I'm personally not a fan. I never really understood the fascination with him. But he's gone now so it really doesn't matter to me one way or the other.

dirty racist who stole music from black people and watered it down so that it became mainstream.
fine, he still stole music from african americans... if you dont beleive that, then you dont know the history of rock and roll. in a time when african american musicians were marginalized, he took their style and copied it poorly and made millions
ps.
if you ask for my opinion i give it. dont single me out because im not a fan of your precious 'king'
