You and your spouse are of different religions. One day your spouse asked you to attend church with them so you do. During the offering, you take out your wallet/purse and a woman from the congregation sitting next to you reaches over and takes $100 from your wallet/purse and puts it in the offering plate. Then she tells you oh the holy spirit told her to do that. What would you do?

I'd smack her into next week and tell her the Holy Spirit told me to do that, too!

Tell her that the holy spirit told you to knock her teeth out if she tries something like that again. Then take it out of the plate and tell her that if she ever does something like that again she will be "with Jesus" in about two seconds with the look in your eyes like you would rather chew on her eyeballs than give her the time of day. A voluntary offering is supposed to be exactly that - voluntary. Either never go back to that church or never let her sit next to you again. That is inexcusable and is extremely bad manners. In actuality, as she took it out of your wallet it is the same thing as being a pickpocket, so technically she committed a crime. So much for being the house of the Lord! You should report this to the minister so that he has a talk with her about it so she doesn't do it to somebody else as well.

I will tell the pastor, she stole 100 dollars from my wallet.First at all,the holy spirit, does not need money, and never will ask for money. Many people have a misunderstanding about what the holy spirit is about;and what the holy spirit mean indeed. My friend had two cars,he gave one to a man at the church, because that man told him that the holy spirit, said that.Other time he gave to other brother at church 200 dollars, because the holy spirit said so.That is a terrible misunderstanding about the Holy spirit meaning at many churches.Good question.

Dear Scared Heart:

I am an anointed spiritual teacher. Of course, no one can be absolutely positive about this situation, and reporting it to the Minister or Priest is the first step. Tell him you wish to make an offering, but $100 was more than you were able to give. Describe the woman to him and approximately where you were sitting.

I can not be certain of this situation, but I CAN tell you this: The Holy Spirit does not instruct people to do that. He is pleased when we give - even a mite! If He thought you could easily afford that and were open and willing in your spirit - the Holy Spirit would have worked DIRECTLY through you: prompting, inspiring and guiding YOU to offer it. Since that seems NOT to be the case, He was not involved.

This person may have been demonic in her mental-health state. Demonism today, looks just like mental illness. However, wherever they are located, there is always an upheaval, strife, and in general - problems. These personalities are quite brazen. Do not be frightened. A demonic mind-set can range from being mildly disruptive (thievery is often part of it -small thievery, and their actions are usually swift) to murderous behaviors. They act upon IMPULSES. They feel suddenly impelled to do something that seems "strange" to others. They do NOT understand themselves. They look ordinary, like anyone else.

They frequently belong to churches - for it is comforting to them to hear about God. They feel more secure and safe in Church due to their LACK of understanding themselves (which frightens and worries THEM). They will suddenly harrass Christians during prayer or pull other unseemly "stunts" when they had thought they truly wanted to attend and be with others - just like yourself. They often claim God or the Holy Spirit told them "to do" this, that, or the other.

A person's mental health - degenerated to demonic impulses and thinking is not curable. We don't come out of that kind of mental "illness." They are INTERESTED in God and all things connected - but at the same time, more deeply in their "sub-conscious" they feel destructive toward Him and His Children.

Do not worry about this, but try and get some of your offering back. Do not be embarrassed by doing this. The Minister or Priest needs to know - for it was the same as being "mugged," but "looked different" - as an offering !

Our first duty in life is to protect our mental and spiritual health and well being. For those who have failed, demonic outlook and actions truly ARE possible to degenerate into. Depression often will lead to the start of demonic thoughts - although there are different roads to it.

Best regards, Lana

If you can afford the $100, then write it off as a 'life experience', tell it as a story... understand that church is the only place for many a lost soul who has suffered God knows what & doesn't have a fraction of all the good things you do...

If you cannot afford the $100 (why did you have it there? perhaps you'd a good reason...), then go request it back... if you get a refusal then tell the pastor/priest/whatever that you know someone who is writing about 'the culture of the offering plate' & just where that money goes...

Tell him that that someone is making a movie, that that someone has got funding already...& is a thorough researcher of subject matter...

Good luck..

Slap her and tell her that the holy spirit told you to do THAT! She stole money from you, that is wrong. You should have taken your money back and put in a more appropriate amount and then told her that if she EVER touches your wallet again, you will call the police and embarass her in front of everyone in church!

Tell her that I did not get a confirmation from the Holy Spirit, so it must have been the devil and that she should take Spiritual Warfare a bit more seriousely by thinking before reacting to impulses. And that if she would have taken the time to consider common courtesy that it would have been very apparent that this must have been the devil's prodding!

How'd that be?

Tell her oh thats nice but the holy spirit told me to take it back out. Also after the service is over talk to the priest or pastor or whoever is in charge and see what he has to say about it.

take the 100 back out of the collection plate, put in a couple of ones or maybe a 5 or 10..then smile at this presumptious b***h and tell her the devil made you do it...when she's done gasping tell her that she was incredibly rude reaching into a wallet that wasn't hers..and to knock it off...all with your best smile...

I would probably be spending some time in jail that night after I "rhymes with itch" slapped her...and then stole her wallet and rang up a bunch of purchases on her credit card...but for the more temperate people, i would make a big stink of it and call the police...its stealing...
