Is it true that is you die in your dream, that means that you've died in your sleep?

My mom told me that when I was little and it still scares me.

Has anyone ever had I dream that they died?

i dont think so... i mean, i dont think that you died in your sleep if you died in your dream... becoz you do wake up after that to realize that it was a dream... i have died in my dream twice or thrice, but i always woke up the next morning, that kind of proves it, as i am still alive.. i dont know if it means anything to see such dreams, but the dream interpreters would surely say that it will mean something, depending upon how you died in the dream (the cause of death)...
stop worrying about it. it doesnt matter how you die - the truth is we will all die sometime - sooner or later - and we can not change it or do anything to chose the time and circumstances of our deaths. may be its better to die in sleep, coz it will be less painful.... whats the point worrying about it??? it is just a part of life.... be happy..

I dreamed I died. I'm still here. I think.

I also heard that if you sneeze with your eyes open, you die. So I held my eyes open with my fingertips one time when I sneezed.

I didn't die.
