Everyday of my life!
When I was younger, and racial slurs were thrown around all the time without admonishment, I always got mad, especially if the person uttering them was a relative. I would get on my high-horse and tell them how wrong they were for saying such things.
Now that I am older, I am far more tolerant of other people's opinions, and believe that everyone should continue to have the right to express them in this country. We have gotten to the point that people are walking on eggshells, and comedians can't even tell jokes anymore.
Whenever someone asks me "why would you support their right to say whatever they want?" I answer for 2 reasons. First I believe that we all should have that right, I don not trust anyone to be my censor, it's my job to provide my own filter between what I think and what I say. Second, I would rather have their ignorance exposed through their free speech than through some actions, or worse, not at all. By protecting their right of speech, we are protecting our society by identifying those of a differing viewpoint.

Yes, and most of them time it isn't politically correct, for example: African American, This assumes that ALL black people are of African descent. This is not true, the Aborigine in Australia are black, but if one of them moves here they are called African Americans, moreover you are only African American if you hold a dual citizenship in the USA and in an African country. Another sign that PC has gone overboard is that it has begun forcing churches to alter Hymns, take a look at the children's son "Father Abraham" or look at the song "Let There Be Peace on Earth". Then you have that "Happy Holidays" that is the worst. First off Chanukkah isn't even a major Jewish holiday, ignorant people just think it is because it lines up with Christmas, (Actually it is the other way around, Christmas lines up with Chanukkah because Easter...oh I'm sorry I'm supposed to say "Resurrection Day" Because that's fricking politically correct!) Anyways you can say other religions are offended by only saying "Merry Christmas," but some Christians are offended by your saying "Happy Holidays."

A little ridiculous? How about gigantically ridiculous.
It is used as a way to influence public opinion. To manipulate thought, and stifle free speech.
Ask yourself this, Who are the PC police? Ask yourself, ( Says Who?) Who is the grand wizard, who started this crap. I remember when this term did not even exist.

Yes I do. No matter what we do, eventually we're going to offend someone, that's life. Also, it has spilled over to the Iraq war, thanks to the media. There is NO WAY that the soldiers can fight a politically correct war, especially with the news media interferring like it normally does.
