Ask if he has a gift card with it, or make little remarks already. NOW
Ask every member of the family to make sure they included gift tags to make any exchanges as easy as possible.
A rock tumbler? I am so sorry. What was he thinking?
I got a rock tumbler for myself at a garage sale one summer because it was a curiosity and was dirt cheap. One test and it got donated to Goodwill. It might have been someones Christmas present once.
As for pretending to like a present you truly do not like, wow. You are a saint and an example to the world. Bless your heart.

I am certain there will be a certain Lady whom I love more than anyone who will be disappointed this year with her Christmas gifts under the tree but since I had given her something nice earlier hope this makes up for it.

Its the thought that counts. Obviously if your husband is not using the list, that means he is buying the gifts from his heart. Think about it that way and give the man a chance, lol.

Some times you need to just except what they do for you and pretend you like it. My husband tells me when he does not like something and it takes away the joy of buying him a gift because i'm afraid he will not like it.

Let's hope he saved the "gift receipts."
After you open them, say "Thank you ever so" and, make plans to return the ones you didn't care for. Hopefully, his feelings won't be hurt. Maybe he will surprise you and you will be VERY happy!

I'd pretend to be delighted at the time. Christmas day probably not the best day to approach it.
A quiet word a couple of days later...

I think that since he didn't use the list you provided, then if you don't like something just be honest and tell the man. Maybe next time he will use the list........And just say thanks, hon, but I really can't use this, won't use this, or hate this with a passion..But thanks anyway...I will be returning this.....
One more thing....Just in case this happens, Buy him a Bra from Fredericks (in your size of course) and tell him you didn't use his list either...(ha). Just hope he doesn't like it !!

If it is your husband, be honest. When mine propsed to me he gave me a ring that I thought was absolutely horrible. I told him "It's really pretty, but I don't know that it's really me." He appreciated that I was honest with him, even though he was a little disappointed. With someone that close to you it's better to let them know what you do and don't like before you end up spending the rest of your life getting presents you hate.
