The proper factors of a number are all the factors of a number except the number itself

The proper factors of 20 are 1, 2, 4, 5, 10

The sum of these numbers is:
1+2+4+5+10=22

Therefore your answer is 22

1 + 2 + 4 + 5 + 10 + 20 = 42

If you arent including 20, it is:

1 + 2 + 4 + 5 + 10 = 22
