i have had horrible yeast infection, but this has got to be the worst ever. i was on antibiotics for a week, so thats why i figure. i started taking monistat 1 day on wednesday night. didn't work. next day tried the yogurt trick with no luck, so i bought another one day treatment. woke up eysterday with it more swollen than ever. i got a hold of my gyno and she is calling me in Difflucan and some cream that is a 7 day treatment. does anyone know how quick the DIfflucan works? i am in horrible pain with a vagina swollen to about 10000 times its size.
any other help on how to relieve pain would be helpful. i bought monistat soothing care cream, cooling wipes, and summers eve anti itch gel. nothing is working.

Difflucan used to treat yeast is a single pill, you will feel better tomorrow. Don't use anything made by summer's eve, the perfumes in those products should never get near a woman's vagina.

You should really go to your gyno and make sure that your prognosis is correct. It may not even be a yeast infection. Diflucan should work but you have to be sure to complete the treatment or you risk reoccurence with the infection because stopping before the medicine is finished doesn't guarantee that all of the infection is gone. As far as your discomfort, buy a vinegar and water douche, medicated douche, or simply fill your bathtub with water, pour in about a cup to a cup and a half of vinegar and sit in it for about 20-30 minutes. That should help with the pain and itching. Also eating yogurt on a daily basis would help keep your yeast infections from flaring up. I know how you feel and I hope you get better soon.

That's all I use, my doctor prescribes 2, 1 then the other a week later, doesn't work as fast as the other stuff. my opinion, it's the only way. I have to take antibiotics often, so, the yeast infection is often. Hope this helps

Just gotta live with the pain. Sometimes if your skin is real sensitive it may not be a infection, soap can cause this to happen and colored toilet paper. Get you some dove sensitive soap and always use white toilet paper. I know a girl had that it was just itching off of her and all that it swelled up real bad, she used what I just said,cleared right up in 3 or 4 days. What it may be your allergy to fragrance in that area. Your making it worst if you douche has a fragrance just use the vinegar and water douche.

you should definitely go see your physician asap to make a correct diagnosis of yeast infection, if you have discharge with or without odor, itching, swelling and redness, you may or may not have a yeast infection!!
