I agree with you mate...
However, it seems to me sport in america is less of a religeon (as in the UK) and more of an entertainment thing. This big blokes in stupidly oversize pads jumping all over each other is apparently fun to watch.
And yes it is football and not handball because they "kick-off" and "kick a field goal" or "punt" when they mess it up. Im unsure on the crazy rules thing myself lol

Do you think we care? I don't care about a bunch of European men in booty shorts tackling men around the waist. It sounds hot though! They kick the ball at points in the game, it can be called football!
