What side of the engine block is the #1 piston on a 96 Camaro, 3800 V6

#1cyl. is on the right side if you stand in the front but you sit in the drivers seat and the left side is the leading cyl. 1.3.5.

If it is the V8 it is on the drivers side the very front one closest to the fan. I hope you did not mean the 3800 engine.

If it's a 3.8 it's on the drivers side, if a 3.4 it's on the pass side.
