Okay...what do you think? Here's my story. I went in to the doctors office on tuesday for a regular o.b. check up. My eleven week 4day check up to be exact. She could not hear a heart beat with the doppler. So she scheduled a sonogram for thursday. At the sonogram...they found a gestational sac that measured 7wks. Not 11. And what she "thought" might be a fetal pole that measured somewhat like 6 and 1/2 weeks. However she could not find a heart beat. She believes something is wrong. I assumed my baby is dead.So she calls up my doctor and tells her what she's seen and what she thinks etc. I went in to talk to my doctor yesterday afternoon. And she explained that i could either be experiencing a "molar pregnancy" or i'm off on my conception dates (which could be because my cycles are extremely irregular even though i was sure of my lmp.) Now i would think if it were a molar pregnancy there would be some visible lumpy tissue on the sonogram. Opinions please?

Hi,

You said they found a fetal pole so at least that is a good sign. You could be wrong about your dates and sometimes at just over 6 weeks they might not be able to pick up the hb. I am assuming they have booked you in for another scan in about 10 days time, did you have a trans vag one, if you didnt ask for one they are much more sensitive to pick up hb at this early stage

I wish you all the luck

I would go see a second doctor. Just to get an opinion. then i would keep from stresssin. After all, its ver hard to get a hert beat even with an older fetus. sometimes it would take 20 minutes for them to find my sons heart beat, at 4 months along. i thought you couldnt find a hert beat tat early nayway? think about it also.... how small is the little guy? try fnding a heartbeat in all that tissue and stuff...

i imagine human beings will be at liberty to have the opinion that they opt for. they ought to be able to precise there opinion, and those who hear (which should be a large number of human beings) must have an open ideas, and perchance substitute there opinion. some evaluations may no longer change into some thing, in spite of the undeniable fact that it doesnt propose there valueless. no matter if no individual treasures your opinion, you may. Its what makes you who you're.

I can understand why you are concerned. It is possible that you aren't far enough along to hear the heartbeat yet. If you start having pain, cramping or bleeding you should go to the local emergency department. Otherwise, you may just have to wait until you see your doc again to find out anything.

Don't stress it out. That's not good for the baby. Or you. Just wait until Friday and maybe you are off on your periods especially if your less than 28 days.

Something sounds off with your doctor maybe you should think about getting a new doctor. i mean the conception date could of been off but still no heart beat? and the ultrasound tech seemed worried. your doctor doesnt sound to bright to me. Just my opinion though.

Wait for the results but prepare yourself. It could be an emotional rollarcoaster. Lean on family and friends. Good luck.
