It seems that Americans (or Westerners in general) are too sensitive about what thier children watch. They are convinced that it will all corrupt them. This is a video clip of a popular Anime watched in Japan by kids. In America the same Anime is shown but heavily censored.

Would you mind if your child saw this video on TV or not?

Japanese kids watch it and their minds aren't damaged or scarred. What makes you Americans so different?

I would have my child watch it. Human sexuality isn't something to be ignored, and even kids sense it.

Most people I know that grew up unsexed, being told that males/females are perfectly equal, and not being exposed to sexual content, ended up either being gay, or very inhibited to the point where they are unhappy with their sex life.

Sexual development and education early on in life help the person be more psychologically complete and mentally stable.

Different cultures have different standards. That doesn't make anyone better or worse...it's all in the way that you are raised. I personally would never let my six year old child watch that video, only because I believe in children being innocent and living an innocent childhood......there is no reason, to me, that a six year old should be witness to anything remotely sexual. It is a child!!! Why are we wanting more and more future generations to grow up faster than they need to....let kids be kids.....what happened to the smurfs and garfield, and saturday morning cartoons?????
That's just my opinion.

lol That would be considered inappropriate because it's exposing private parts. We shouldn't be considered too sensitive for censoring something like THAT for 6 year olds! That'd be more for the teenagers and adults, though. Hehe... I still remember DBZ and Goku's pat test. HA!

I have found that the younger a child views things that are inappropriate or of an adult age, the younger they seem to get desensitized to the content and think nothing of watching horror or adult themes. My children would not be allowed to watch this at 6 years of age.

That's disgusting even when it is censored. I don't think either should be appropriate. It's such a dumb series.

Well that's one more thing that makes us better than you.

We don't want our children to watch crap and grow up unhappy and demented.
