I just had my nipples pierced last July, so their still healing. My husband and I finally got pregnant. I dont want to loose my piercings, but my breasts are so swollen and tender, the hoop is getting too small. I fear my only option is to remove the jewlery. Any suggestions???

Check with your doctor and the piercer. You can probably move up to a larger gauge or hoop. Personally, I would take them out and let the holes close up for the sake of the pregnancy. You can always have them redone later in life.

Also, your breasts are just going to get bigger and sorer during your pregnancy.

You will have to take them out anyways if you plan on breastfeeding. If they cause any kind of infection in the nipple, you won't be able to breastfeed at all.

So - good idea to check with your doctor.

I know someone that had them through her entire pregnancy so maybe you just need to change them to larger hoops. Call whoever pierced them and ask. I am sure that they have encountered this in the past.
