I'm just wondering if scientists know some things that will change within the human race in the next million years or so. If they do have any idea, what will happen?

Nope.

It is not saying that the "scientists" are clueless, it is just that they can't predict the future of biological systems as there are too many feedback and other mechanisms that can change our species.

Evolution occurs for reasons, even if those reasons are obscure and not evident.

Also, humans are about ot be in the unique position to control our own genome and therefore what our genetic make-up will be. Remember that natural evolution is mindless. It doesn't play favorites and it is not sentimental. What is is also not is "Survival of the fittest" when being fit is equal to strength.

Evolution is survival of those individuals that have a leg up on the competition. A rat that can squeeze its skeletal structure 1/16" smaller than its rival and gets to safety while the rival doesn't, has the leg up. He gets to live and more than likely pass his genes on to the next generation and so on. That is how evolution works.

So unless we can predict the environmental and societal changes 100%, "scientists" will never be able to tell what humans are "evolving" into.
