A friend and I acquired and old Sea King outboard motor. We think it is a 5 horse, it may be 7 1/2 horse. We need to know where to order parts. I guess they were sold through Montgomery Wards. Someone else told us that there were two different manufacturers: Johnson and Chrysler. We will need a new impeller, maybe a coil and we would like new condensers. We plan on fixing it up ourself. We just need to know where to buy parts? With all the outboards being repaired, somewhere there has to be a place selling parts???? I hope someone can help and thanks.

Chrysler made most of them barring the air cooled and a nasty 15 hp by clinton. I believe the vwb was chrysler either the 15hp or the 7.5. Both were the low profile 2 cylinder with a pop up starter gear. If you think it is an air cooled- flakey white paint -you may have a clinton, or tecuseth. Both were "throw-away" motors as the service work on them was protracted and expexsive. The antique model around 1950's could be gale.
