WMP will not play DVD's.
I just want to watch DVD's on my PC without inserting a disk.
My Operating System is Windows Millenium (ME)

I use Clone DVD and Any DVD, both available at:
http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonedvd.html

Any DVD removes copy protection and Clone DVD copies the DVD, and also sets up a "virtual DVD drive" for playing them from.

if it's copy protected, decrypt it then copy an image of it (ISO, BIN) then mount the image on a virtual cd/dvd player like Virtual
Clonedrive (free)

bearing in mind that most dvds (originals) are copyrighted u need to remove this by downloading dvd shrink, it will remove the copyright and automatically saves it to your hard drive too.
