Good question! I usually wish Tom could have that one moment of glory myself. But, lets not forget, the reason Tom and Jerry was such a fantastic cartoon is that underneath all the frying pan whacks and prangs with garden forks they were actually friends.

Even though I really like kitties, I always root for the mouse. Its not like Tom is going to starve if he doesnt eat Jerry, whereas Jerry would lose his life. I guess its the whole good vs. evil thing.

it has to be Tom the cat he was pretty cool and funny especially when charming the lady cats, Jerry was too squeaky clean, liked the Bulldog too with his `that's my boy ` patter, used to always come along and give Tom a fistful.

Tom, we had a pet cat, but mice were always vermin.
Never understood why Jerry was the star of the show.

Its gotta be Tom the cat, he is so cunning and equally hilarious, i love one show where, he owner goes "i hope you aint faking that cold Thomas" and he looks at the camera and winks, classic!!!
