How do I save photos to a DVD+R?

How do I tell if my computer has a DVD burner?

All I get when I try to copy the files to the DVD+R is that it is not a writable disk, and I should insert a CD.

Do I need to install software?

To tell if your computer has a dvd-burner, simply look on the front panel of your drive. There should be a DVD Recoder symbol or a sqare "RW" symbol.

To burn photos onto a dvd, you could use programs such as picasa (http://picasa.google.com/), which are designed for photo organization, or a program like nero (http://www.nero.com/enu/index.html) to burn the files directly onto the disk.

You cannot directly "drag and drop" photos or other files onto a blank disk- unless you are using windows XP because there are built-in burning features- so you have to use cd/dvd burning software like nero.

When asking these questions it always helps if you tell us exactly what hardware you have.

Since you don't, I'm going to guess you have a drive that can read DVD's and read/write CD's (a lot of cheap drives are like this)

Look at what's on the front of the drive itself = I bet it says "DVD & CD+/-R,RW" or some such

If the front of the drive says like "DVD+/-R,RW & CD+/-R,RW" then its a driver problem.

first examine the disc is sparkling or no longer , no matter if it really is sparkling then do attempt nero burning disc software's modern-day version it has the alternative of writing the dvd mode if the concern persists do contact me on my mail ok

i need to noe the same thing i have a mac and there is no floppy thing
