I have never experienced this before until about 2 years ago. I am 37 and TTC. I have gas and weird sounds in my lower abdomin 2 or 3 days before my period and before I ovulate. The sounds are like when your stomach grawls from hunger. I'm concerned that they could be signs of something wrong as to why I'm not conceiving; or is this just because of age? Has anyone ever experinced this? It's new to me.

I think it's just has related to the difference in hormones throughout your cycle. Might be age related, or just might be the new you....try altering your diet around period time and see if that helps ie cut out the big gas producers - onions, garlic, beans etc.

If ur really concerned, go see a doctor. Every person's differerent, this is why I start off with this. But I think ur fine. I often experience this. But there's also tiny pains associated with it...like hunger pains, for me. But that only happens in months that I consume caffeine. Usually when I just drink water or caffeine free drinks or supstances, I get no warning that my period's about to start. I'm 28; and this has been happening since I was about fifteen.

i have experienced that many a times.when u r about to have ur periods the body starts to produce some gases which a natural way of getting rid of any kind of toxins produced during that time.so do not worry.it's absolutely ok.

It might be the age. Because my mom's friend has that problem and she saw a doctor and he said its the Ageing.

I'm over 30 and I get that sometimes too...just age, I guess.
