GWB, who turns a blind eye to the rising medicare costs, rising healthcare costs, rising medicaid costs, rising mortgage costs, rising inflation, the indirect destruction of the social security system, and does not give a "you know what" about the illegal immigration problem.
OH, i forgot. Both of our wars are a disaster and it is disgraceful that he still won't change the course.
WHY DO PEOPLE CONTINUE TO DEFEND OUR PRESIDENT?
I love America, which is why I hate the government.

Andy G, you don't have your facts straight. BUSH was the one who promised that our enemies "will be hunted down and brought to justice". Clinton's foreign policy record is spotty but he did catch Ramzi Yousef and his gang (the ones responsible for the '93 attacks on the WTC). They WERE brought to justice. The other attacks, he had Intelligence working full hours trying to uncover the facts behind it. He is much better than Bush ever was or will be.

J&C compares today to 40 years ago. That is so stupid and pointless I don't know how to explain it...and the other info from his is just completely wrong. Nice try.

Some people have sense of loyalty to the person they voted into office. He sucks, but they feel obligated to support their decision to put him back in office.
Maybe that's it.

There are several defining characteristics that identify the possibility that a patient may be in denial. Some examples include pretending something does not exist when in reality it does. Being willing to admit there is a problem, but unwilling to see the severity of it. Seeing the problem as being caused by something or someone else. The behavior is not denied, but its cause is someone else's responsibility. Offering excuses, alibis, justifications, and other explanations for behavior. Dealing with the problem on a general level; avoiding personal and emotional awareness of the situations or conditions. Changing the subject to avoid threatening topics. Becoming angry and irritable when reference is made to the condition. These defining characteristics help to avoid the issue at hand (Whitfield, 1994).
Bout the Andy G "evidence"
Claim: The Clinton administration failed to track down the perpetrators of several terrorist attacks against Americans.
Status: False.

Some people will change their mind only when mainstream TV will explain all the facts in detail. Some people will be ever ashamed to admit they were so wrong and guilty in death of hundreds of thousands of people (or, if, as commonly accepted, only us Americans are counted, three thousands). I know such people. They followed all consequent lies about Iraq: First, they repeated that Saddam was responsible for 911, then they forgot about this and repeated that there are WMD, then they forgot this too and eagerly told that the dictator (our former ‘friend’, by the way) must be removed to make life merrier in there. Now, as life in there is a nightmare and in here we spend 2 (or3?) billions $ per week – they forgot about the last reason, and talked a little about global perspectives in Middle East. Watch for next phase, they should forget this (because our occupation of Iraq have enormously strengthen Iran), they should tell something else.
Since I talked with a few of such people, I can tell it’s same as a guy who’d buy, say, a bad and expensive camera and is ashamed to admit it, have not done his homework, followed first stupid ad, was lazy to research and think…
For the rest of us, we must impeach this 'president', the least thing to do.

Both the question and a large numbers of the answers are bogus.
Conservatives who fail to face the facts that Bush is facing larger amounts of people who disagree with his actions and larger debts and larger problems in general are all over the answer boards along with Conservatives who just blame it on Clinton. It's easier!
Then there are hte liberals like you who ask questions like this that don't solve anything other than to bring out the worst in the opposing views and bring compliments from the people who agree.
Why not ask a question that stirs intelligent thought instead?

Rising mortgage costs, now is the lowest mortgage rates in 39 years, rising inflation? I just read a mechanics illustrated magazine from 1976. It advertised an airbed for $49.00. Target has them now for $29.00 40 years ago I made $240 a month and paid 34 cents for gas. Now I make over $4000 a month and pay 1.14 for gas. Well, you do the math. Social Security is a very strong trust fund, got that wrong too, didn't you. Medicare has only increased $15 in 4 years. Where do you get this nonesense? You are so disgraceful to be such a parrot. Try looking up facts before you spout bird poop. Both of our wars? Which both. GWB is still working on this one. DO you thing Nixon did better? Or maybe LBJ? read history, then shoot off your mouth. You really blew it on this one.
Too late puppy. How do you compare things? Have you compared? No you have just parroted. ANyway, repeating what someone says to you is a very poor rejoinder.

Like it or not he is the american people's leader. He was elected by our system the electoral college. People often defend him because he has stuck to one course of action he doesn't flip flop on issues which is a sign of strong resolve. People admire someone who does buckle under pressure. He has done some good for the US. In my opinion he handled the day after 9-11 very well tell all americans not to go on a rampage against the muslim community. You say rising inflation but inflation is one of the things that Bush has been praised for because according to the Federal Reserve Board the very people who control the economy (not president Bush) say 3-4% inflation is healthy (people are spending about 80% of their money and saving about 20% of it) which Bush has achieved that with his limited fiscal policy. I love America too and I love the government for better or for worst.

Because people hate to be wrong they've been defending him for ages and to stop now would be seen as a betrayal. Those people are not intelligent enough to realise that we all make mistakes and sometimes or even often things are not what they seem.

Earth to liberal:
1. It is not the Presidents job to stop rising medical costs. Talk to the trial lawyers who bribe off Democrats to not put caps on damages. Talk to liberals in both parties who refuse to deal with illegals who must get care at hospitals. This is bankrupting the hospital system.
2. There should be no medicaid because it is not the governments job to provide medicine. PRIVATE SECTOR
3. Mortgage costs are part of free markets. BTW, prices are falling and not growing as much. I know because I just bought my first home.
4. There is basically no inflation.
5. The destruction of social security is because liberals run it. Government fails at these things. The stock market has always had a greater return than Social Security over the same time frame. When Conservatives wanted to voluntarily privatize it, liberals like you screamed bloody murder.
6. You are correct about President Bush not dealing with illegal immigration. Remember that Democrats want amnesty and voted against the House bill, which shows that the conservative Republicans in the House were the only ones to effectively deal with the problem.
7. Our wars are a disaster, huh? We liberated Afghanistan and they have a FREELY ELECTED GOVERNMENT. Same with Iraq. We have terrorists from Iran and Syria causing most of the problems in Iraq. Do we get any help from most of the world? NO. It is the US, England, Israel, and Australia against these killers.
8. As for changing the course, we need to crush the bad guys. The liberal press completely lies and distorts what goes on there. Time to arrest these traitors.
So for this question, you had 1 factually correct statement about President Bush refusing to deal with illegal immigration.

I don't know why people continue to defend GWB, let's face it, with all these people that have left his cabinet/administration, that's a clue that even his most trusted advisors refuse to defend him. Even republicans can't defend this man's credibility. Public Opinion of him has just gone from bad to worse. His public approval rate is in the early teens. Watch out Jimmy Carter! GWB, wants to take your place as the president with the worst approval rating ever! It just seems like he is really working hard to get lower than Jimmy Carter ever was!
