I would assume that women often cross their legs because they're trying to keep horny men from staring at their crotches. At other times, women cross their legs because they have to pee really bad, and they have to hold it in until they get a chance to go to the ladies room. And sometimes, they just cross their legs because they like to sit like that (they might think their legs look better when they're crossed). Sometimes, if they're sitting with their legs crossed, and they're talking to a guy they're attracted to, they will point the knee of the leg that's on top towards that guy.
