Sorry I made a mistake in the question. Its my neighbours car and my husband is trying to help her and I misunderstood the problem. She feels the seat does not go all the way forward. She is very short and she indicates that she could reach the pedals better before than she can now. A neighbour drove her to the hospital and put the seat all the way back and now it has been moved forward but she feels it is not all the way forward. Sorry for the wrong question but help please. Thankyou.

could be a connection that is under the carpet, in the middle between the pedals, and the seat. Look under the seat you should see some hoses that are red and blue, make sure those are connected. If it is the motor that is shot... GO TO A JUNK YARD, you will save about 300 bucks!!!!

Does the motor make any noise when the button is pushed? Does the spool gear spin? Check the seat tracks. Alot of times a coin will get stuck in the tracks and keeps the track slides from being able to move.

In addition to the above two responses, check the circuit breaker under the hood in the "Power Distribution" box.

in case you're talking with regard to the lock itself, you're able to replace it. a stable locksmith can replace it and key it to your unique key - I had this performed on a Ford Probe. in case you're talking with regard to the door safeguard itself, it is going to require taking the door panel aside, and determining what it extremely is with the safeguard that has long gone incorrect. it may probably be a link to the clasp between the safeguard and the door latch and likely it extremely is a plastic piece that has wiped out that needs to get replaced, yet you're able to finally end up having to purchase the full latch or safeguard assembly as a manner to get it fastened. base line: you will could dismantle your door as a manner to go searching and with a bit of luck, you would be routinely susceptible sufficient to tell what the project is. in case you're actually not, you would be lots extra suitable off getting a routinely susceptible pal to assist, or taking the vehicle to a dealership for upkeep.
