No...the laws don't need to be changed. You need to buck up and support YOUR children without complaining. What does it matter that she makes more money? Does that mean that your children's food and clothing and medical costs less?
You helped make them, you need to help support them based on YOUR income.

You would be spending that and then some if you were w/ her raising them together, so what difference does it make? Child support is able to take up to 60% of your income..And believe it or not the more she makes the more you will have to pay...The less she makes the less you pay, Because she has to keep that lifestyle the kids are use to..Thats why you are paying so mush because she make a good income so she has to keep that standard of liveing that your kid(s) are use to. You are being one hell of a man by paying your child support though man, i give you kudos! Do you know how many men out there do not pay their support and make enough money to do so? My ex hasnt paid me anything and he owes me 32,000 and he makes alot of money. So, atleast you can look at yourself in the mirror and be proud of yourself...Just remember if you do not pay they can take your driveing privlages away, freeze your assets, and even put you in jail, so do not fall into the category of what they call a "dead beat dad", i dont think you will though

Yes they do but not for the reason you think. Anyway child support is awarded to custodial parent to offset the cost of raising the child and only for that reason whether the custodial parent actually needs the money or not. It actually represents your part of the responsibility and is supposed to keep you a part of his/her life til after college. The part that needs changing is to have the custodial parent held accountable that the support money actually goes to the child and not some other stupid reason like car payments etc. Good luck and Merry Christmas

Are they your kids? If yes is the answer then child support you will pay. Do you know how many dead beat dads there are> countless!!! Yes, the laws need to change, but not for paying , but for not paying. I say if you miss 1 month instead of 3 months, go to jail and see how that feels. No freedom.

#1 Are you aloud to see your children? If not, you shouldn't have to pay the support #2 If you see them, NEVER poison thier little minds about each other. #3 How much does your job pay, cuz is seems to me like you need a better paying job. Other than that, you should pay the support because you want to, you need to, and most importantly, respect the ex for she gave you a chance to expand your name, a chance to show you have spunk and a chance to view why you are the way your are, and not something else. take it easy dude. I am the Ho Master, and you have just been ho'ed up dude.

I say only with regards to how the money can be spent. If their was a system in place that would alot the child support money to be used for things the child needs; cloting, food, education, etc... then this would prevent "child support abuse" by unfit parents who use the money for; drugs, gambling, sex, etc...

The money is for the child, and support of the child not for her. And you could file for shared parenting/joint custody and this would alleviate the issue of paying child support, you would be the custodial parent for 1/2 of the child's care. Good luck and God bless****

I agree the law does need to change!!! Keep filing modifications...and get all the proof you can on her income...to give to your child support manager..or lawyer....and keep fighting her on this...you CAN get it lowered...but it takes YEARS sometimes...my husband..FINALLY got his lowered from 1500/month...down to 400...but we started fighting it at 586...and it's taken us 3 years to get it back down...after it sky rocketed up to..IGNORANT amounts such as the previous..$1500...because she'd go in and get it raised again every time we tried to lower..sucks..and is an CONSTANT battle from here on out...so good luck

WHEN YOUR WITH YOUR WIFE YOU HELP SUPPORT YOUR CHILDREN THE SAME SHOULD BE DONE WHEN YOU ARE NOT WITH HER. THE FACT THAT ONE PERSON MAKES MORE THEN THEE OTHER FALLS UNDER ALIMONY/// MAINTENANCE.IVE BEEN THERE DONE THAT. LAWS ARE DIFFERENT FOR EACH STATE LOOK INTO COLLECTING ALIMONY FROM HER TO OFF SET CHILD SUPPORT BUT DO NT BRING IT UP IF YOU MAKE MORE MONEY.GOOD LUCK
