music video help... anything will be helpful...im going crazy?

...ok so heres my deal... i have seen this music video a few years ago and im trying to remeber what it is and who sings the song... in the video it is in black and whit there is the singer and a peron in a chair the singer is singing to the guy in the chair and as the song goes on the guy in the chair is gradually getting older (kinda like what happens to the king in lord of the rings if anyone knows that part) ... i hope someone out there can help me cause this is driving me crazy... anything would be a great help

There is a Dixie Chicks song Top of the World
The video shows a man growing up with a mother that was beaten, then he is cold to his wife & daughter, then the daughter has problems too. Kind of circle of abuse. It's not black & White, but was shot to make it look like it is old.
