The way things are going, it is a worrying thought, we are becoming very Big Brother and if someone at the top needed saving a quick motoring accident could be helpful in the organs department. We are making laws now that would have caused riots in the 1960s! A quick nod to the doctor, and a back hander for nice kidney? !!

Not at all. Just when you do pop your clogs, any organs which remain healthy will be used if you hold it.
Don't rely on Monty Python to tell you facts etc. You might decide that you didn't want to do this. You didn't want to spend your life on this site. You wanted to be... a lumberjack!

I shudder to think - you may be tempting fate, there again if you or a loved family member needed an organ in a life or death situation you would hope that everyone had it in them to carry one at all times.

No. That suggests they value one life over the other which doctors cannot. It is simply a way of helping others.

I'd like to give my organs when i die but am a bit worried .aren't you still breathing just clinical dead, how do they know it do sent hurt as i assume they don't use an anaesthetic, as you aren't supposed to be feeling anything, but how do they know for sure?
