Arnald Swarzenneger never specifically worked his abs, because all the other lifting worked them indirectly.
The best way to have good abs is to not have any body fat. You just need to be able see them, not make them huge.

No, bench press does not work or shape your abs. BUT they do get used. Abs are a stabilizing muscle, they keep your body in line just the same as you lower back (Erector) muscles.

To some degree, yes. But you in the end have to work every part of your body individually. I am a trainer, and I always preach the Big Four: Bench Squat Deadlift Powerclean. But, you must include individual body part training.
