Ok, so my friend decided this past week that her husband wasn't satisfying her (sexually) and they always fight, so she went out and has an affair with another mutual friend of ours, she told me a couple of days ago and I told her to quit it 'cause her husband would find out and will divorce her, well she got drunk last night and spilled the beans to her husband, he called me this morning and asked me how long I knew and I tried denying it as much as i could but he's my friend too and he said he already knew so i told him I know as much as you do.

Well he mentioned that he was gonna leave her because this is the second time she's cheated. She doesn't work at all, he makes the money for both of them, they've been married 23 years, what do you think her chances are for getting alimony? or at least half of what he owes belonging to her

Yes, she will get half of everything, plus she'll get alimony. Of course, it depends on what state she lives in. But, most likely it's a "no fault" state. This was a long-term marriage, 23 years. He might have to pay her alimony for the rest of her life, or until she remarries. She is entitled to be supported in the lifestyle she's become acustomed to. It's irrelevant that she cheated; because, she can argue that he drove her to cheat.

If she has kids and plays her cards right, she could end up with more than half and actually get more money in alimony that he ex keeps after taxes.

Start by knowing the law in your state and talk to a good lawyer. I think she will be entitled to have but not alimony. If this is the second time she's cheated I would get a divorce. Good luck.

Depends on the laws within the state that you live. However, the fact that she has committed adultery is not going to look very good for her. She will get something however, probably not what she would have if he cheated. This is probably why she cheats too much time on her hands, tell your friend to get a job and stop being a drunken looser. God bless****

It depends on which state they reside in and what the laws are about grounds for divorce. If it's a no-fault community property state, then it's 50-50. Otherwise, she needs to talk to an attorney.
