What's a bot?

a bot is a computer program designed to perform a function in response to an input, ie , in a chat room you may have a bot which will automatically kick someone out if they use swear words.
in this case, it scans for new questions and generates an 'answer' based on the question and some other info.
all of mans answers contain the original question and an advert for a website
