No- it is not okay for anybody to hit or physically hit anyone in any way, regardless of gender, age, or anything else. The only time violence should be resorted to is in the case of defending oneself from a prior attack, and that's true about men with men, women with women, and men with women, going either way.
A lot of people think it's fine for two men to fight, but somehow not right for men and women to fight- and that's ridiculous. If someone says fighting is okay between one gender, then it should be for all of them.
And no, not every time a man hits/hurts a woman is a case of domestic violence or male chauvinistic abuse. We all lose our tempers and make bad decisions, and that is no excuse for behavior, but it doesn't make it domestic violence- to me, that term refers to those whose violence is repetitive and comes from deep-seated views about power and gender roles.
We should just all stop violence in general. Hope that helps.

Domestic violence is totally wrong and should never be allowed to happen. The only time i would hit a female is to defend myself.
Remember that 38% of domestic violence is female being violent towards males.

If a woman starts a fight, a guy has a right to defend himself. The woman that throws the first punch should be ready for what she's getting herself into. Then again, I'm against either sex throwing the first punch to begin with.

I don't have a problem physically defending myself against any person who offers violence against me, male or female. I'm sorry, being female affords you no special privilege.

nope,I don't see any reason at all why it should be tolerated at all.There is no reason for a man to hit a girl,if he is that angry then he should walk away.However a person has the right to defend them self,If attacked i would do what it took to get them off of me then get away,(yup you heard me,,id run like hell)

only if his life is in danger and theire is absolutely no other alternative. otherwise it is never ok nor acceptable for a man to hit a woman... ( i am a man btw )

the only time it would be acceptable would be if the woman was literally threatening to kill him and he would be defending himself..
