Is that the Circus Tavern in Essex...no idea about the darts, never been to see them there but bin to a few shows..;

When the PDC World Championship started out back in the mid 90's I think for one year have a round robin first round with 16 players split into Four or Eight groups of four players.
It was only for the one year though if I remember but then went back to the straight knock out system that is in place now.

no because it never did the only group format used in darts is the premier league darts on sky sports
pdc world championship starts on monday with phil ' the power ' taylor favourite followed by raymond barneveld john part colin lloyd & peter 'one dart' manley
