I always got picked first or second, i've played soccer all my life so I guess everyone figured that meant I was automatically good at every sport. Which could have been true because I am pretty good at sports...♥

It depended on who was doing the picking.
I'm glad that I've reached the point where I no longer care what people think about me; it sure took a while.

It depended on what we were doing on a particular day somedays and then other days it depended on who was doing the picking. I would say it was about half and half though. It bothered me a tiny little bit at first especially when it was dodgeball we were playing because I loved playing but often got picked last early on because I certainly didn't look like I could either throw, dodge or catch anything being hurled at me with that much force. However, I practiced and practiced and was never more proud than the day when after being chosen last I not only didn't embarrass my team but amazed them all by being the last one standing and winning the game for the team. I was never picked last for dodgeball again. Didn't help my basketball game at all though...lol....I could run like the wind and dribble like a pro, but man I couldn't shoot from any distance, do a layup, make a free throw...nada..to save my life. I was so bad it went way past funny and slid past pathetic, but couldn't pay them to pick me last for that game for some stupid reason. Go figure. I don't think the experience scarred me though....I was too full of myself to care I guess. I always figured as long as I wasn't being picked first then at least everyone wasn't betting on me to be MVP so there was room for negotiation whether I rocked or not.

I was picked last in gym class. I wasn't very good in sports throughout high school, but I did like softball. I was a nerd in high school.

Why?
A) I was a klutz
B) All the popular kids got to pick who they wanted to be on their team
So gym class was hell.

i am in very similar shoes to you. I am very sporty naturally and i was always above average in every sport except cricket and football which i hate with a passion

I was somewhere in the middle. I was fat, but I could run fast and I ran track for 2 years in middle school.
