to start of with im a pre teen there's this boy who i really like so the other day there was a dance i saw that he was punched in the eye because he tryed to break up a fight .so im really shy to talk to him so i just got up and said to him because i felt so bad that i asked him if he wanted any thing so i bought him water.but im still scared to tell him i like him and to talk to him.what should i do?

but at the dance he said he had a girlfriend but my friend called him today and he said he did not have a girlfriend.

Don't tell him you like him, just talk to him, try to spend some time with him. You have to start a conversation with him and get him interested in you and once you see that he's interested in you, you can ask him if he wants to go do something like after school. As a good starter tell him that it was really (cool, sweet, smart) of him to break up that fight and ask him how is eye is feeling.

By your avatar you don't seem to be the shy type, or at least you seem to be covering it quite well.
As far as this boy is concerned I tell you that the best thing you can do to attract any boy is to simply greet him with the biggest smile that you have and to talk to him about anything that comes to mind such as the weather, Christmas, school, music, and specially food.
After you have done this a few times he will get the idea. If he is sitting somewhere, go and sit really close to him and, yes, smile.
Boys love attention from girls and this will melt any ice between you and get you the date.
Go get him, tigress (grrrrrr).

be yourself. HAve a friend introduce you to him. Then talk to him and see. That might turn something. I know it's hard, becuase I'm 13 and have the same problem. But lately I'm able to talk to him. Even if you just say hi, it will break the ice. Trust me. It helps. And if you really like this guy so much it's driving you insane, then tell him. At first you'll feel really dumb but after words you will be reliaved. And if he doesn't like you back then move on. There is someone out there for every1.

I, from a mothers point of view would say, "Do Nothing" In my opinion Pre-teen is too young to worry about boys. Wait until you are a teen. Now, concentrate on your school work and helping around the house. Sorry!

Try and be a friend first, i dont know how much you know this guy alrady, but get to know him a bit better first. you then have a chance that he just might ask you out first. If not, wait a few weeks and just ask him flat out.
but honestly relationships at that age are way over rated anyways, i would try and avoid them as much as possible. to much time wasted and too much herat break.

You should be his friend because you dont know if he wants a girlfriend. Try and have him trust you as a friend first and then make the move off telling him.

talk to him, flirt, tell him you like him. Dont be shy, guys like it when girls flirt, and if he knows you like him, chances are he will flirt back. Letting him know is the best thing you can do

although you may get mad, i think your best i dea for now is to leave him alone because sounds like he likes your friend if he said he had a girlfriend when you asked but then said he didnt have one he likes her than you so dont take it like she looks betta than you but he likes her^^^
