If you were to do away with all of the false pretense of political correctness, what else would you call it? Only in America does one group go out of their way to segregate themselves from the rest of society. Most "Jamacans" came from the same region of Africa as the ancestors of most black Americans. So, why do we not hear them referring to themselves as "African-Jamacans?" Or "African-Hatian." The point being, that in the rest of the world, people are content with who they are and don't go out of their way to try and creat/recreat an identity. Look at the history and you may actually find that what I say is based upon fact. Just about every ten to fifiteen years, all of America has to figure out how we are supposed to identify without offending the black Americans within our communities. If we don't figure it out, or say the wrong thing, we're labeled as racist and bigot.

Oh now,.. gigglebox27 is probably just going to thumbs down anyone at all it looks like... or someone is. [Who is thumbs downing everyone?]

Go look for a Tech,.. go Dance in a Tech,.. go listen to the music in a Tech. (Disco Tech). You'll find out one thing that happens is someone will be Famous and Popular in Europe & Asia... the most played and most popular can do a RANGE of voices and sounds. So some may be able to do a high pitched voice and sing some lyrics like they are a very skinny short person or a child and then in the same song they may switch to a low deep voice like they are ... aww.. I can't remember his name but he makes women horny just by talking not by appearence or lyrcis... because his voice is so low and deep.. he is black. Now I am stumped because I can't remember one person's name.

Oh well,.. I don't know what your expecting them to say,.. but it's just easier to come up with simple terms since they have so many things to try to cover. You honestly should try Tech Hopping and catch how the music in Techs are in Germany.

Added: Found his name,.. Barry White XD There are some German singers, artist, whatever you want to call them,.. that can range their voice between high pitched child to lower then Barry White.

Besides Eminem and Vanilla Ice, how many famous white rappers do you know of? Or R&B and Hip-Hop artists? It's not racist. It's about music which was invented by the black American population whose roots come from Africa. You don't hear people say African American outside of the US. It's only Americans who are uptight about calling people/being called black. How often do you hear about an African-Englishman? What about the white people from South Africa or the Arabs who dominate much of Northern Africa? If these people move to America, aren't they African Americans as well? There somehow needs to be a distinction between them. Look at kygirl trying to be politically correct, can't even spell caucasian. I'm not offended by people calling me white, and black people shouldn't be offended by being referred to as black. In most countries they aren't offended. It's America that's different. America invented "politically correct." Don't try to push your values on to everyone else just because more of your people are racist.

Jojo, stacie orrico, justin timberlake are not rappers! They are bubble gum pop music! You listed some others, I'll just have to take your word on them since I'd venture to say the majority of us haven't heard of them. They are not world renowned like 2Pac, Usher, Master P, Notorious B.I.G., etc. I'm sure we can go find some small suburban white rappers around but face it, there's only a couple white rappers/hip hop & r&b artists who have made it big. I'm looking at the top 20 list on the webpage of a local Blazin' Hip Hop & R&B radio station. Not one of them are not black. If that doesn't say something I don't know what does.

Who uses this term? Americans stationed there or the Germans themselves? The Germans like to give the ethnicity 'credit' for their work. It is not menat as an offense, but as a compliment. Take this as a cultural difference.

Yeah I hate the term black music. Racist crapaloony. The origens of Hiphop are at leat 50% hispanic any way... well maybe not 50% but a lot is hispanic. Its stupid as hell to call it black music. It makes distictions that just seperate us rather than serve us in any damn way at all.

That's just the way they recognize it. I wouldn't take it personally. I'm sure they don't mean to offend you. I use "black" when describing some one to someone else, and hope it doesn't offend any one. I wouldn't be offended by someone decribing me as that "white" girl with brown hair. See what I'm saying? I wouldn't take it as a racist thing.

Don't be offended. They may not be up with the terminology. Also remember that there may not be as many as they say "black people" where they are to inform them. Also, look at r&b there arent many artist in that industry who are causcasian.

Oh come on. Of course the majority of R&B / Hip-Hop artists are black or have a dark complexion. Are you blind not to see that?
