Never mind that! Where is the final of the extinct programme. It was supposed to start at 7.30 according to my telly mag.

The TV licence is a tax on the reciving equipment...if you can pick up a television programme...no matter what channel..no matter what type of quipment you use you have to have a licence to recive it......that even applys for mobile(cell) phones pc's quipped with tv cards or even a sony PSP now there is a way to recive tv programmes that way.
So the BBC is funded by everyone...even if you don't watch it...think that's unfare?..what about those who don't have high definition tv's..the BBC has a hi-def channel that only sky HI-def veiwers can recive.

You can always switch to ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 or any cable channel.

If you want to see different programs on the BBC Television Service, why not tell them which of their programs you like and which you don't? The license fee isn't popular, but it keeps the BBC, a noncommercial broadcaster, on the air.

The license fee funds the BBC - not ITV who makes X factor. The non BBC channels make their money from the adverts in between the programmes (I thought everyone knew that).
