I know a girl I met when I was in school, and I had a thing for her. She didn't feel the same, so I didn't think much of it cause I was sure, that after a while, the feelings would go away. But, it's been eight years now and still to this day all I ever think about is her. I love her so much, and I think it's fair to say that after eight years, I not going to stop loving her anytime soon. Whenever I see her I want to tell her, but she reminds me in her own little ways, that she loves me like a brother. This really hurts and I'm tired of people treating her like ****. She's an amazing person and I don't know what to do. Do I wait and hope she'll start to have the same feelings? Or, do I just slowly cut ties and hope the feelings go away? Keep in mind that I've already tried to cut ties, but she doesn't want to let me go, because we've been like best friends to each other for years. What do I do?

Wow - sounds like you DO have a problem. I'm currently in the same situation, however, I'm getting married. Oh and the guy? I haven't talked to in years. But my face lights up every time I hear about or talk about him. I've heard he does the same. Sometimes in life you just have to except the things that CANNOT change. You have two options. Tell her how you feel and accept her response. Or, move on with your life. Life is what you make of it.... she'll come around!
