75% of all the world's tornadoes occur in the U.S. although they have occured on all continents except Antarctica. Other areas which commonly experience tornadoes include W and SE Australia, SC and SE Canada, NW Europe, SC and E Asia, EC South America, Italy, S Africa, and New Zealand. In fact the Netherlands has the highest rate of tornadoes per area in the world followed next by England.

Yes they do anywhere high and low pressure systems meet. They only become large under the right geographical condition. I.e. in the pacific north west the only last 20 to 30 minutes and never build much force. But anywhere in the world that is prone to a thunderstorm season most likely has tornados. The Mid section of the us (tornado alley) posses ideal geographical and meteralogical conditions for frequent strong tornados.

yes we are getting tornatoes in northern canada places that never had them before last summer one ripped through manitoba just north of winnipeg and flattened a little town in northern ontario just west of dryden ontario at least 60 tornatoes touched down in northern ontario last summer and over 200 in manitoba mostly in rural areas so damage was miminial but there is allways next summer

Yep, here in Edmonton,Alberta,Canada there was the first one here in my knowledge and it happened to be an F5! they called it black friday!
