I am a junior in HS and i started chewing late freshman year. THe whole grade knew i did it and last night i was at a hockey game and they noticed i didnt take any. A few people noticed and said u forget ur can u can have some of mine. I said no i havent had any since monday and im trying to quit. And i know to girls that it is gross but like the whole student sections heard me say this and i dont even know wat the emotions were, but it seemed good. Why were their reactions so strange?

because its bad for you, and a bad habit,,, so people would have a good reaction to you making an effort to stop it,,, and they would admire you,,,,

In my opinion, you have more courage than most of your class mates think they have. You got into an unhealthy habit and it takes more courage to get out of it. Especially since you are almost jumping out of your "chewing circle" of friends so to speak. that takes a lot of effort too to say no to your friends. The students i think had good reactions it seems...they should all be proud of you. just keep up the good work...i have no idea who you are but i hope you can quit for good.
