There are some very rude people out today. Thanks to all the NICE ones out there, they are the ones who make it worthwhile. Don't you wish all questions could be a east 2 points? So why be rude and self-centered? Who else misses not George?

No, there are both high times and low times for the Q and As brought here, just like the good days and bad days we have in real life.
What I have learned through my own experiences is that the bad days are here to make the good days better, because if we didn't have the bad days, all the good days would kind of blend together; it's the same for the Q and As on here - the rude Q and As make you appreciate the polite and civil ones much more.

Try not to get disheartened. Yahoo headquarters take complaints very seriously. Reports of abuse are handled in a timely manner. If you venture to other categories for awhile you may realize that there are many great people out there in the real world who are motivated to make the Yahoo experience a good one. Happy holidays ! Be on the look out ; "not george" could have assumed a new identity.

I don't miss Not George, I never saw much of him, but I do miss Fireater. Keep in mind with the quality of users: Saturday, school's out, the young'uns are bored, and Y!A is sort of interesting. Not many people teach their kids manners, or that manners are important, these days. I'm old enough I got whacked if I talked the way most kids do these days!

I have found this to be very true of late. It is making me not even want to respond to questions in society and culture any longer.
The only way to eliminate the rudeness and hatefulness is to report abuse. Hard to do because you have to really be specific.
Yahoo needs to post a site that is not called Q&A, because people are not answering, they are just slamming others. I suggest that Polls and Surveys be made a separate site. That might help some. Or a site JUST FOR JOKES.

I am fairly new to p&s and I agree there are some people who are a bit rude...over the top...but I have also been getting to know some great people and see some great questions.

I agree. I've seen some disgusting, vulgar and just plain wrong questions and answers on here. I don't really go on here too much anymore, if you look in my profile you'll see huge gaps between answers. Oh well, we'll just have to sit back and wait for Yahoo to fix stuff again..
