This question has been asked many many times during the ages, and the way I see it is this: War is Human Nature... as far back as humanity's memory can stretch, there have been warring factions, be it tribes, family, or Nations. It is inevitable, and will continue.

Everyone has a mind of there own. Some people work for a living and follow the rules of a civilization others do not. Some people stop at stop signs other do not. To follow the rules of a civil society allows a society to grow, to disobey the rules, destroys civilization. One person can not stop war no more than one person can prevent murder or crime. Groups of people have rioted at a school sporting event. War is a violent act quantified. The only things worst than war is when there is nothing worth fighting for.

I feel that most people, if they were able, would stop wars. However there have been all types of war since the dawn of man. Unfortunately, until everyone in the world becomes willing to put differences aside and become willing to live in peace, there will be no change. Good question, by the way.

Because of the hidden price of peace. Consider that if peace was universally declared in 1775 there would be no United States. For people who wage war, the price of peace at that moment is often greater than the price of war.

If Sadr and some other mullahs want to be the next dictator of Iraq, and are willing to kill off the opposition, or have their goonies do the killing for them, nobody can stop them except the dopes who are doing the killing and being killed.
It's as if, here in America instead of a national vote, the Democrats kill as many Republicans as they can in order to get their man in. The Republicans do the same.
If we do that, we can have an Iraq right here in America.

Because without war, there would be no change. Without change, the world would get stagnant. When the world gets stagnent, people get restless. When people get restless, they start wars.

It's cyclic and will never end.

Because there is always going to be some jerk with a gun, and he doesn't like the way you're standing or where you're doing it. I blame the parents.

Cuz i don't think there's that many smart people out there. All some people care about is getting what they want and they think less about world peace. I think that god should come down and stop it in my opinion.
