God bless her for making it to 97 ; can she hear with an earplug such as cd player with ear piece for music from her time , Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin etc ; a new comfy slippers ; she is still alive just a little impaired; anything that speaks to her senses like it speaks to yours; just older that's all.

Give her the gift of TIME... yours and other family members. Don't treat her like she is 97 but treat her like she is valued. Take the time to sit and Listen to her. You would be amazed at all the wisdom she has aquired in 97 years. Take a journel and record all the family history you can from her while she is still able to recall it. You'll be glad you did! If she is not a relative, still record her family history. Someone may have need of it if she should pass on....

a tape recorder and tapes. have her tape her thoughts and experiences down on tape. then transcribe the tapes placing her story in computer form so others may learn first hand what this lady has seen, done and been through. believe me it is well worth the time and effort as I am doing this also. fascinating adventure
