I've been dating sa wonderful lady who is unlike anyone else I've dated before. A week ago, we both admitted our love for each other and ever since then, she's been gegtting edgy and seems to be upset, yet not really explaining why. Any ideas as to why she seems to have changed from the understanding, caring, giving woman that I've fallen in love with into a distant, pissy individual? I would have thought that the admission would have relieved some stress, not increased it.

I don't mean to sound mean, but sometimes the truth hurts. This is a very typical female mind game. Do not tell her I said this, and certainly don't admit that you know because let's face it, you are dealing with a female, aka IRRATIONAL. Believe me, I know, I am one:)

She was so nice and sweet and loving before, because she was trying to "get you". Then you told her that you love her. In her mind, this means she "has you". Now she can let here hair down and be herself. You are now witnessing the real her...sorry!

ORRRRR She is totally affraid of committment and she is sensing how serious it is getting, and she trying to scare you away!

Only way to know the truth is to keep the lines of communication open and friendly...it truly is the only way to make a relationship work.

Best of luck!

I think it is the commitment which she is afraid of. You need to give her some time to adjust to her thoughts. You may need to give her more time and compasion as your relationship has changed from dating to love and may go ahead to being togethar for the rest of your lives. It is imparitive that being a more emotionaly stable gender you should talk to her and make her understand that she may take her time to think upon. DONT LOOSE HER IF SHE IS GOOD FOR YOU.

Maybe she's afraid of commitment. Or maybe something's going on with her work, family, or some other facet of her life and it's just coincidental timing. Try to ask her, let her know she seems different and ask her if something else is going on at work, etc.

Buddy - the second they know you love them or they get the ring, everything changes, and it's never good for the guy.

Welcome to the club.

She is insecure. Perhaps she has low self esteem.
