Absolutely, I did this when I first when back to school after having my son. He was on formula during the day, and breastmilk at night. If this is what works best for you, go for it!

Yes you can. My son was only 5 lbs 8 oz when he was born so I was told by my midwife to supplement my breastfeeding with formula for the first week or so.

absolutley! Just make sure you start using a bottle by 6 wks or baby will refuse it. Supplementing is totally fine, and will free you up to have some independance. Just try to nurse for at least 12 months, so baby can get the full benefit.

I recommend Enfamil Lipil formula, and Dr. Brown's bottles

Yes you can. Here are some links to read that might help you:

It is important that if you plan on continuing breastfeeding that you don't introduce formula before your milk supply is well established. My sister lost her milk supply by starting formula too early and too often. Good luck!

Absolutely! I did that with my son. I only produced enough milk for himto drink during the day, so at nite, he had to have formula. My husband stayed up with our son at nite, so I could sleep. And He slept during the day, when I took care of our son.

It's just as healthy, if not healthier for the baby to have both. As long as you have the right kind of furmula for the baby, everything would be fine. But as usual, talk to the doctor to make sure. If he says anything like, ''well i'm not crazy about it, but it wouldn't hurt your baby'' that's saying, ''breast milk is best, but both is ok.''. Unless the doctor says ''absolutely not'', then I'm sure it'll be fine.

You sure can, I dont until after they are 4 weeks old and well educated at the breast then I let my husband feed them once a day, usually a night feeding so I can get some sleep.

Yes, you can. Alot of women do it because their babies haven't latch on properly to get breast milk, and they still need to be fed, or their body is not making enough milk for the baby and still need to feed them.

Quite common, also depends on your schedule.

Yep. You want to make sure he's mastered latching on first though, before you go to a bottle. Usually by month 2 its safe.
