Now it will not turn on, and im afraid i may have blown out the hard drive. Is there any way to fix my hardrive or at least any way to recover my data? Thanks!

Not unless you have a proffesional remove the platter and copy the data! Shouldnt cost more than a couple hundred!

You could try finding the same harddrive (model and make) then replace the circuit board. If the damage is contained in the circuit on the board, not beyond, you have a chance of getting the data out. If it is damaged beyond it, then you'll need a professional assistance. The leader in the industry is ONTRACK. Be aware, you will be quoted several thousand dollars to do the job.

You just blew the power supply. If it's more than the fuse you can remove the hard drive from the unit and stick it another unit, or if it's a 3.5" type, just set the jumpers to slave and plug it into a spare connector in a desktop.

probably not easily

there might be fuse that has blown

or if the data is valuable , worth a thousand or so, bring it somewhere for data retrieval
