That's silly. Natalie Wood was intoxicated, as was Wagner and Christopher Walken. It really makes very little sense that a man who married her twice (Wagner) would murder her. I'd also note that both Wagner and Walken attended the small funeral.
"Police concluded that after changing clothes into a nightgown, knee-highs and a down jacket, Natalie took the dinghy, perhaps to go to the hotel ashore. However while untying the dinghy, she slipped, striking her head on the side of the boat and fell into the chilly water. She drowned after being pulled under by the heavy, drenched coat.

I think it was murder too. If she was afraid of the water why would she go near it? (on her own) Somebody somewhere got away with murder.
