More than ten hours of separation a week from mother in the first year of life is an absolute disaster for a newborn. A child suffering so will have impaired attachment to mom and to others, impaired cognitive development, emotional devastation - as the infant can only perceive this as rejection by mom - and compromised physical health.

do a little research and you will see that there is absolutely no such thing as good substitute care for a newborn, infant, or toddler.

the research is clear, consistent, and has been showing the same results for 50 years - separate a baby from mommy before 3 - 5 years old and you will damage that child beyond repair.

don't let those who've inflicted the same damage on their own kids convince you that it's okay for you to do that damage too.

you will never regret giving your child his/her birthright - mommy. you will always regret the damage to your child, your family, and your relationships that infant abandonment (day care) causes.

Use the site below to find a daycare. If you do not see what you need, go to the home page and use the black google search bar as it is daycare specific. Type"daycare + your city".
