Nothing fancy about electricity in America. It can be considered a necessity now, since it sustains and prolongs life itself.

How is electricity fancy. Something over a hundred years old and very cheap can't be to fancy. It's more of a neccessity now anyway.

Why would I shun it?

Not since I got more than an "Arms Length" from the cave. I suspect even YOU have some form of electrical power generating your ability to ask such a Q, Smiles.

Certainly our species needs to consider alternatives, given our GREED, but I suspect T. Edison isn't "rolling" over in his grave yet.

Sometimes less truly is more, but I still enjoy not having to fumble for matches, in the dark, to light my kerosene lamps, which I may have forgotten to purchase "oil" for.

No, we're highfalutin enough to go for the lectric thang, and the indoor plumbin too. However, we try to stay away from them fancy places like the Wallmarts.
