Hi, I am getting a brand new PSP for Christmas. Its the entertainment pack. I want to install Dark AleX's 2.71 SE-C firmware but is this possible? In responce to one of my questions someone said that mine will probably have the TA-082 motherboard (http://www.undilutedplatinum.com/images/TA082.gif) which means no firmware 1.5, 2.71 SE, or homebrew. Is there ANY way past this without bricking my PSP or anything? I'm gonna be opening my PSP this Friday so I can give you details about the firmware and motherboard and such. I think its gonna have 2.71 firmware with the TA-082 motherboard. If it does: is there ANY way I can install 2.71 SE-C or run ANY homebrew for that matter? If yes: how? If no: should I just update it to firmware 3.02? I assume I will have 2.71 firmware but I'm getting GTA: Vice City Stories for Christmas. Help!

Zero chance.

Unless someone starts finding a way, but that isn't likely going to start with you as people would prefer to find a way with the older ones and worth their way up.

So enjoy a non-homebrewing, but at least legit, PSP.
