the hard drive is included with the deluxe package i guess and i need to know wat to do in order to install it?

If you buy the premium version, then the Harddrive is already installed.
If you intend to buy the core version and get the Harddrive later, you can just click the harddrive into its slot, and you are ready to go. You don't need to install anything else.
Concerning the original Xbox Games: You definitely need the harddisk to play the old Xbox Games. However not all games work yet. Look at the list below, to find out, wich games work.
When you insert the Xbox Game, the 360 will try to download an Emulator for this game.
Therefore you need a Xbox Live account (the free silver account is enough).

The premium version already has the HDD install so you don't need to do anything. Don't buy the standard version because (1) it does not have a HDD and (2) no wireless controller. You can play some xbox games on the 360 but not all. Microsoft is working on this but some games won't ever be able to run on xbox360 because of the difference in hardware. The hard drive is already installed on the premium version and the core version you can buy a hard drive and just clip it right in the top. The 360 only plays certain xbox games.

The Hard Drive,i think,should already be installed when you get it so you'll be able to play games without worrying about restarting your gamrs & more features such as Xbox Live features.
